What is an Apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship gives you hands-on experience, a salary and the opportunity to train while you work and are open to anyone who is past school leaving age.
Apprenticeships are work-based training programme designed for employers by employers. They allow you to gain real and relevant experience in a paid, productive job whilst receiving training to develop your skills and further your knowledge.
On completion apprentices must be able to undertake the full range of duties, appropriate to the job, confidently and competently to a high standard expected by the employer. Apprentices are highly employable – 97% of apprentices say their apprenticeship has improved their ability to do their job, and 92% of in-work apprentices said their apprenticeship has had a positive impact on their job and career.
At the outset of your apprenticeship, we work with you and your employer to design an apprenticeship and training package that will best suit your role. Apprentices are trained mainly in work and all learning can be immediately applied by you in a real working environment. Some aspects of the qualification may be classroom taught at an appropriate training venue agreed with your employer. English and maths, if required, will be delivered through online assessment and learning to ensure you develop these essential skills to succeed. Our tutors will carry out regular monthly assessments of your progress throughout your time as an apprentice.
